Josie Robson, Training Coordinator
Josie worked as a professionalrecording artist, before going on to deliver training for those entering and working in the music industry. She designed, delivered, and coordinated training at Red Tape Studios, Sheffield,for over 500 learners. She recently completed a Ph.D. on The Gender Dynamics of the Sheffield Music Scene (2006).
She has also worked as a lecturer for Sheffield Hallam University and is regularly asked to speak on panels and at seminars for music industry professionals, and those wishing to enter the music business.
Elly Tams, Research and Professional Development Officer
Elly is a researcher by background and music industry journalist. Her Ph.D. (2003) focussed on The Gendering of Work in Sheffield’s Cultural Industries Quarter. She has worked in a research consultancy role in Sheffield for The Workstation, CIQ Agency, and Creative Industry Partnerships. She recently completed a research contract commissioned by NESTA, on behalf of Tom Fleming consultancy, London, into work-related learning opportunities for 14-19 year-olds in the creative industries.
